Last summer, Silas rode over 1,000 miles to ensure kids and families in Avalon Park had access to free bike helmets and safety gear.
Now, Silas is back on the road with an even bigger goal – increasing bicycle and pedestrian safety education into our schools.
Most students—especially in middle school—rarely get a formal lesson on how to stay safe on our roads, even though they navigate them every day. As e-bikes and electric scooters become more popular with kids, it’s more important than ever to give parents, teachers, and neighbors the tools to build a culture of safety.
Silas is aiming to raise $5,000 to expand the SAFE Travelers Youth Program across Central Florida. This framework provides students with a foundation for safety that grows with them as they gain independence:
Thank you for supporting Silas’ ride and helping make a lasting difference for young riders in our community.
